What Benefits Do These Super Foods Really Benefit Our Health?

They are packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants or phytonutrients and promise a health benefit. But what makes a food really a superfood?

What Is Superfood?

There is (still) no common definition for superfoods: Generally, however, particularly nutrient-rich foods are referred to, which is said to have a health-promoting effect. As a rule, this means certain fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices as well as nuts and seeds, which have a higher health benefit than other foods due to their high nutrient density.

Superfood – critically questioned
