Raf Simons gets better with time at Dior. He provided us great for the Christian Dior Cruise 2014 and moved the podium on The Rock in Monte Carlo. A light parade which includes the Dior codes with a modern twist…
While the Cannes Film Festival in full swing, another equally elegant event brought together an audience of personalities on 18 May 2013: Christian Dior Cruise 2014. Indeed, it is Monte Carlo in Monaco that Raf Simons decided to scroll Christian Dior Cruise 2014 to an idyllic reborn magic Dior frame. This is a simple interior, pristine white with sea view as the parade took place. While the Christian Dior Fall-Winter 2013-2014 was more focused on the original codes of the house for the 2014 cruise presentation, emphasis is placed on updating these codes through modernizing keys. Raf Simons takes e.g. bar recognizable suit jacket with rounded shoulders, his narrow waist and flared and updated version pants and especially pop vermilion and cobalt.
As usual, Raf Simons is a systematic use of colors for Christian Dior Cruise 2014. Bright, they appear on their tissue giving renewed vitality. When the colors are not slipped on the details of clothing or at the end of pumps for example, they appear openly and call the color block on the front. Vives and acids at the beginning of collection, the colors are then diluted in soft, soothing tones. The colors have still continued their rights in a final compound dresses pockets, colored, shiny, metallic and asymmetric an electrifying final completed by Nastya Kusakina.
Recurring pattern of Christian Dior collections under Raf Simons stripes punctuate dresses and skirts & Vertical or horizontal they are a graphic and unexpected touch on fabrics. Simons can not resist the temptation to couple to the other obsession: the shiny materials. From the first figure the stripes were metal alternating bright reflections and transparency. Worn under a black blazer and Daria Strokous in this Secret Garden 2 – Versailles dress summarized in some ways this collection under the sign of a chic who dared not meet any codes. In this aesthetic purpose, the details are unexpected. The drapes are lost on the body, zips invite a foreign hand to be undressed and transparency reveals high legs and panties.
The cruise collection 2014 Dior exuded femininity but not that. The models showed an athletic mine in their pants fluids, their tops slim and colorful bodies. This lightness is also expressed through asymmetric cuts and flare that wake up in contact with the wind. Finally, in this diversity of influences and patterns, Raf Simons manages to slip a floral touch, symbol of femininity. It conveys a very ladylike silhouette with a fitted waist, flared cut and shoulders emerged very dear to Dior. The Christian Dior Cruise 2014, it was fairy bracket this weekend.
