You want to make your own deodorant yourself – without aluminum and without plastic? This is quite simple. We show you the simple DIY!

A deodorant that smells exactly the way you like it and that you know all the ingredients in: it doesn’t exist? Oh yes – if you do it yourself! And that’s not that difficult. Especially if you suffer from allergies or react to deodorants, this is a great solution to protect yourself from rashes.

Why deodorant without aluminum?

Homemade Deodorant

Soda is the basic ingredient for deodorants. But you should make sure that you use sodium bicarbonate ( NaHCO3 ), i.e. food-grade sodium. Make spray deodorant yourself


  • 2 tsp sodium bicarbonate (sodium hydrogen carbonate NaHCO3)
  • 10 drops of essential oil (e.g. lime oil, rose oil or lavender oil, preferably from health food stores or health food stores)
  • 1 cup of distilled water

Boil the water and let it cool down a bit. Mix the lukewarm water with baking soda and the chosen oil and pour it into an empty, well-rinsed spray bottle. Finished!

Make deodorant stick yourself

  • 2 tbsp pure vegetable wax
  • 2tbsp cornstarch
  • 3tbsp coconut oil
  • 10 drops of peppermint or sage essential oil
  • 3 drops of tea tree oil

The vegetable wax (e.g. berry wax) is melted with the coconut oil in a water bath. When the mixture has cooled, you can add the baking soda, cornstarch, and the selected essential oil and stir.
