We are running out of London Fashion Week and the designer Erdem presented his version of fashion for the cold season to come.
At London Fashion Week Erdem presented his autumn- winter 2014-2015. The designer who has made headlines for his participation as a jury member of the H & M Design Award 2014 is primarily known for his experimental use of fabrics the fine workmanship of the garments and the timeless design of their creations .
The collection presented at London Fashion Week the designer reflects its mission and its distinctive elements presenting garments characterized by great attention to detail and careful selection of materials.
The collection is mainly dominated by short dresses rich in elements that hark back to the fashions of the past. First, there is extensive use of velvet which in times past has always been associated with luxury and ostentation because they are very expensive and valuable. Even laminated fabrics of gold and other metallic colors communicate with pomp and grandeur.
The inlays on fabrics recall those materials which in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries they maintained the nobility and wealth of the ladies the same floral fabric on a nod to past epochs in which the embroidered fabrics were a must to reiterate its noble origins.
In addition necklines that encircle the neck in some way remind the ruff the folded structure that was in vogue in the sixteenth-seventeenth century. A few touches of modernity is given by the use of shiny materials, vinyl and asymmetrical shapes or very sought after of the leaders. The result is a collection of all simple and unassuming but rather aims to reaffirm the status of the wearer .
