Homemade Body Scrubs – Make A Body Scrub Yourself

All body scrubs, even those you can buy, contain three main components:

The scrubbing agent…

That’s what the dander should do.

Salt is ideal for relaxing muscles. Sea salt is preferred because it is purer than table salt and because it contains a greater variety of trace minerals and minerals.

Personally, I tried sea salt, table salt and Epsom salt and it was fine, so feel free to try something for yourself.

One should not take too coarse salt; it cause scratches and can hurt.

Sugar feels a little gentler on the skin.

You can either use brown or white sugar; I like more brown sugar, because it smells more aromatic.

What is well suited is also ground coffee. It smells divine (in my opinion), and the contained caffeine is even to help against varicose veins and rosacea.

Oatmeal is a very gentle exfoliant. It has always been used as a home remedy for dry and itchy skin.

Other substances would be almond bran, rice bran, wheat ground nutshells. I find nutshells too coarse, except perhaps for the feet.

The Carrier Oil

The carrier oil also holds the mixture together during abody peeling and moisturizes the skin.

Most scrubs use about 60ml of oil for each cup of exfoliation.

If your skin is very dry, it is recommended to use low-viscosity oil so that it can be easily washed off.

Some popular oils are z. As sunflower oil, which has a weak odor, a thin consistency and little residue cause. In addition, it is very cheap to buy.

Almond oil is slightly sweet and nutty in the nose, has a medium consistency and penetrates into the skin.

Hazelnut oil has a sweetish and nutty fragrance, is very thin and leaves a light film on the skin.

Kukui oil has a light, sweet and nutty fragrance, a thin consistency and is well absorbed.

Macadamia oil is also nutty in odor, but thick in texture, leaving an oily film on our skin.

Macadamia oil is recommended in cosmetics for dry skin, butit is difficult to wash off again as a peeling.

Fragrance Oils

The easiest way to get fragrance in your homemade body scrub is to use essential oils.

Here are some essential oils that you can use as a blend for different skin types. Each mixture should be diluted in about 60 ml carrier oil.

Normal Skin: 10 drops of lavender, 6 geraniums, 4ylang-ylang

Oily Skin: 8 drops of sandalwood, 6 lemons, 6 lavender

Sensitive Skin: 6 drops of camomile, 4 rose, 2 neroli

Dry skin: 10 drops of rose, 8 sandalwood, 2 patchouli

Acne skin: 10 drops of lemon, 10 cypresses, 5 lavender

Skin to use: 10 drops of geranium, 6 roses, 4 cypress

For sensitive skin you should avoid the following oils: basil, cinnamon, cloves, lemon, lemon grass, tea tree, thyme, lemon.

Citrus oils can increase the sensitivity to sunlight.
