So, we understood that it is better to divide the big household work into several small daily tasks instead of doing everything in a single day or weekend. And indeed, this strategy is gaining more and more popularity.
What exactly does it consist of?
As you can guess from the title, it involves devoting around fifteen minutes (more or less) per day to concrete cleaning tasks. Ideally, you create your schedule for the week, and under each day, you write the specific tasks to be carried out during this time interval.

Secondary cleaning tasks vs. primary tasks
So, to avoid any confusion, it should be noted that this house cleaning schedule only includes “secondary” tasks, which together ensure good hygiene and cleanliness at home. However, in addition to the tasks on this list, there are some essential housekeeping tasks. These include dishes, trash, laundry, and storage.
Before tackling the deep cleaning schedule, we advise you to master the art of carrying out the essential tasks on a daily basis. Monday
On the first day of the week, we invest our 15 minutes of cleaning in vacuuming. Pass the device through each room. And if you have a robot, all the better!
Tuesday
Of course, day 2 of the adventure is dedicated to washing the floors. Mop any floors that you have already vacuumed thoroughly the previous day.
Wednesday
Obviously, the bathroom is a corner where deep cleaning normally takes much more time than a quarter of an hour. This is why, in our smart planning, we divide this task into two. On Wednesday, you only clean the bathtub and shower. If that seems like too much, clean the tub this week and leave the shower tiling for the following Wednesday (when you’ll skip cleaning the tub, respectively).
THURSDAY
After the bathtub or shower, come the toilets and sinks. So set aside these 15 minutes on Thursday to restore the shine to the bowl, the sink (but also the sink in the kitchen), and the mirrors.
Friday
At the end of the week, we return to the task with which we started the schedule, in particular dusting. This time, you can quickly dust the surfaces or touch up the floors with the vacuum cleaner (especially in the most frequented rooms).
SATURDAY
On Saturday, we take advantage of the 15 minutes to catch up on some of the essential tasks that we did not complete perfectly during the week. Tidy up, fold clothes, throw out the trash, change sheets, and clean the fridge. Use this time to put everything in order.
Sunday
The last day of the week is dedicated to… your rest! If the situation is more or less under control, take advantage of Sunday to recharge your batteries or to spend more quality time with your family.
