All the neighbors will converge on the aroma: incredible lamb stewed with herbs (RECIPE)

We learned how to make bagels according to an old Jewish recipe. Now let’s share a simple recipe for a particularly delicious dish that can be prepared for Hanukkah.

These lamb shanks, slow-braised with herbs, tomatoes, and red wine, are just the perfect dish. The recipe was shared on the Shuba portal.

Ingredients:

Method of cooking:

  1. Wash and dry the lamb shanks. Rub them with salt and pepper.
  2. Peel the carrot, cut it into large circles. Cut the peeled onion into half rings. Peel the garlic, chop coarsely.
  3. Pour the oil into a large heavy saucepan. We put it on medium heat and warm it up. Fry the drumsticks in batches until brown on all sides, then transfer them to a plate.
  4. Put carrots, onions, and garlic in a pan. Sauté over medium heat until golden for about 10 minutes.
  5. After that, add wine, tomatoes, broth, rosemary and thyme. Return the drumsticks to the pot, dipping them in the stew.
  6. Bring the dish to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium. Cover with a lid and simmer until the meat is soft, about 2 hours.
  7. After that, remove the lid and simmer for another 20 minutes. Transfer the drumsticks to a plate, and cover them with foil to keep them warm. We continue to boil the stew until it thickens, about 15 minutes.

Before serving, pour the vegetable sauce over the drumsticks. We also shared a recipe for incredible beef stewed in beer.
