8. How long do Breast Implants last?

Implants are not lifelong products, so they need to be replaced at a specific time. The average lifespan is about 10 – 15 years but can vary for each woman. There are several reasons why an implant replacement is necessary.

Sometimes it is a matter of choice, such as a change in the size or shape of the implant, and sometimes removal and replacement are due to a complication, such as encapsulation or displacement of the implant. On the market today there are also completely new breast implants that offer a lifetime warranty.
