In many cases, cellulite is due to water retention and is linked to poor venous and lymphatic circulation. Follow our advice to improve the orange peel appearance and reduce your unsightly curves. Eafit shows you the best techniques to lose cellulite…

Again.t water retention and loss cellulite: stimulate venous return

The purpose of the veins is to bring blood back to the heart and lungs to reoxygenate it. Particularly in the legs, the veins have a perilous job to accomplish, because they must fight against weightlessness. There are kinds of “check valves” that make this task easier (when they work well). But you can also implement certain daily actions to further improve this venous return.

1) Fight against excess weight

There is no miracle anti-cellulite diet. Eat a healthy, balanced diet. To do this, never proscribe a food category, but reduce fats, sugar, and salt, which are too often in excess in our modern diet. To better manage your intake, abandon industrial products and return to “home” cooking using basic products. And no snacking between meals.

2) Practice physical activity

Running is one of the best techniques for losing cellulite because it activates venous return: each touch on the ground stimulates the venous pump. Favor endurance sports (running, swimming, cycling, rollerblading, walking, etc.) and maintain the activity for at least 40 minutes, repeated 3 times a week. On the other hand, avoid “aggressive” sports such as aerobics, horse riding, tennis, combat sports, etc.

At the same time, increase all the activities of daily life, because they end up counting at the end of the day: getting off the bus one station before its destination, climbing the stairs, gardening, DIY, making short trips on foot or by bike, rollerblading, scooter, etc.

Finally, do targeted muscle strengthening on the hips and glutes. Indeed, regular activation of the areas where cellulite islands are located promotes the dispersion of fats and reduces the orange peel appearance. It is better to get help from a coach to choose the most appropriate exercises.

3) Massage your legs

The massage acts like drainage. It reduces water retention and promotes the elimination of toxins. Always start at the bottom and work your way up slowly (from the thighs towards the hips and buttocks). In the morning after the shower (always end with a trickle of cool water on the legs, from bottom to top) or in the evening before bed, massage or have yourself massaged and kneaded as desired. You can perform a strong massage, light pressure, or “palpate-roll”. To facilitate the massage, you can apply body milk or even better, an anti-cellulite cream or gel.
