Meghan Markle showed off an outfit worth $55,000 during her trip abroad. Moreover, these were both inexpensive winter boots and a chic coat.

From the $4,000 Hermes bomber jacket to the $250 Joan of Arc boots, during her trip to Canada, Meghan Markle showed off her new wardrobe, in which journalists have already seen many secret messages and hidden meanings. However, Megan’s outfits cost, as usual, quite a lot—more than 55 thousand dollars. The Daily Mail writes about it.

For a public figure like Meghan Markle, choosing a wardrobe is like walking through a minefield. Not only does she have to worry about how much is possible, but there is an increasing need to worry about her origins.

Even the jewelry has to be ethical and given by the right people, otherwise, social media will start discussing how bloody your diamonds were.

So it immediately became clear that the Duchess of Sussex had chosen her wardrobe for the trip to Whistler, Canada, very carefully. While she was by Prince Harry’s side to support preparations for next year’s Invincible Games, the “label games” began for fashion watchers around the world.

Out of the hundreds—no, thousands—of winter boots Megan could have worn, she chose a pair of $250 Joan of Arc boots from Sorel. Coincidence or a subconscious way to equate yourself with the holy martyr who was burned at the stake by the representatives of the English crown?

Most ski-goers would find an all-white outfit impractical, but not Megan, who paired the boots with a $750 ivory cashmere sweater from Los Angeles label Co; white skinny jeans for $250 from Frame; and a $300 Calvin Klein quilted jacket.

She accessorized this look with a black cashmere Burberry beanie hat with a pom-pom—faux fur, of course. It was a cozy girl-next-door look reminiscent of the clothes she wore when she and Harry first started dating. After all, their first outing as a couple took place at the Invincible Games in 2017.

Fashion journalists believe that this was done on purpose to show that the feelings between Harry and Meghan have not faded, and also to demonstrate that she is the same Meghan, although now her clothes are more expensive.

Journalists also saw a hidden meaning in the set of jewelry that Megan chose for her birth. Along with a Cartier Tank Francaise watch once owned by Princess Diana, she wore a diamond ring from Shiffon, a jewelry firm that helps support women-empowering businesses through its Startup Girl Foundation.

Then, on Valentine’s Day, Meghan wore a $5,800 cherry red coat from every fan’s favorite brand of quiet luxury, Loro Piana, paired with a matching $2,150 Valentino shoulder bag in red.

Fashion experts believe the coat was part of a look that showcased Meghan’s life in the wealthy suburb of Montecito.

Back on the snowy slopes, Meghan wore a navy $3,800 Hermes puffer jacket with $200 La Ligne jeans and a $55 Aritzia cashmere hat. Even a $250 Bottega Veneta case for her phone.

Later that evening, she wore a $2,400 belted cream coat from Toronto-based brand Sentaler.

The next day, she was seen wearing a $1,400 alpaca cape from the same label, this time in dark beige. Megan paired the outfit with $1,200 Co riding boots, despite not having a horse in sight, and Max Mara long gloves.

In her latest look, Meghan went all ethical in a $1,700 Oseph gown by Greta Constantine, featuring her favorite off-the-shoulder asymmetric neckline. Like the Princess of Wales, the Duchess likes to support female designers.

Its “army green” color was no accident, given that it was worn at the “One Year To Go Invictus” dinner, an event celebrating the resilience and camaraderie of soldiers.

She finished off with a diamond necklace worth over $16,000 by Logan Hollowell. But these weren’t just diamonds: they were lab-grown diamonds, meaning they had no dark past.

It was the perfect ending to a perfect series of looks.

It will be recalled that her cousin Shawn Johnson spoke about Megan earlier. It turned out that although they were close before, they had not communicated for many years. Sean confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex is now estranged from all of her family except for her mother, Doria.
