People who use fragrances can be tentatively divided into two camps. The first uses perfume as a functional object. It smells fresh and pleasant, which is good. Others are eternal seekers and experimenters. These are people who can apply two, three, or even more fragrances at once, informs shelookbook.com.
Perfume layering is not a new topic. Back in 2005, Escentric Molecules offered customers to use their Molecule 01 fragrance as a base to increase the longevity of the perfume applied on top.
The theme of layering has been picked up by other brands, and today many manufacturers offer perfume bases, and perfume boosters, which make the fragrance individual and special and, of course, extend its durability.
For example, Scentxplore, which debuted at the New York exhibition, is a perfume primer from the brand The House of Bo. This vegan, unscented formula pairs perfectly with any brand of perfume, extending its longevity and enhancing its sillage.
Here it is important to note that each fragrance produced by the brands is a finished composition, ready for use, that does not require additional products. But if you want to experiment, let’s figure out how to properly layer perfume.
Rule one: no petroleum jelly!
The life hack popular on TikTok suggests that we apply Vaseline to our skin and spray perfume on top of it, leaving it to the weirdos on social networks. Firstly, Vaseline itself has a smell and quite a strong one at that. Secondly, Vaseline does not give any flavor enhancement!
To increase the persistence of the perfume, it is quite easy to moisturize the skin before application. Different body lotions without fragrance or with the same perfume scent as your fragrance will come to our aid here.
Rule two: use the means of one line
Many manufacturers today offer a wide range of bath products, which include shower gels, body lotions, various creams, and hair sprays. If you use the whole series, you will strengthen the persistence and sound of the perfume.
Rule three: look for the right points
Do you want to put together a perfume wardrobe from two different perfume bottles? There are three ways:
For each day, we apply a heavier scent to the pulsating points (wrist, elbow bends), and we spray a fresher one on ourselves with a cloud.
For an evening out, we switch scents: we apply a fresh one to the throbbing places, and we make two puffs of the heavier one in the air and enter this “cloud.”.
A universal, third version of the perfume capsule is to apply one fragrance to the left wrist, and the second to the right. And enjoy the plume that came out.
The main thing is to do it at home first and appreciate the resulting aroma. Experiment, but remember the measure: 1-2 clicks on the atomizer is quite enough.
